CEO

Jody is a North Alabama native and graduated with a Finance Degree from The University of Alabama in 1973. As a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, he made lifetime friends and keeps in close contact with many of his collegiate brothers. Following in the footsteps of his father who was in the building industry at one point, he started his company in 1975 with two employees. Chorba Contracting has grown over the years into one of the area’s major contractors doing business in multiple states. Jody’s interest in design, architecture and art is revealed in his vision for planning and construction.

President

Marty is a native Alabamian who graduated from Auburn University with a Degree in Building Science. From his first jobs as paperboy and lifeguard, Marty is now President of Chorba Contracting! He’s the nuts and bolts of the operation and keeps all running smoothly with his commitment to excellence, common sense approach and unpretentious nature. Marty’s been a key member for over 36 years and President since 2008.

Vice President

While at Arab High School, Don’s favorite subject was physics (Sheldon would be proud). After getting his degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, Don worked as a Design Engineer for Inland Buildings for several years. Don has been a valuable member of our team since August 1987 when joining Chorba as an estimator and project manager. Don is our vice president and oversees all our work on Redstone Arsenal. He is very industrious and has been a dedicated and loyal part of our team for 38 years. Don enjoys playing golf, fishing, and watching college sports.

Vice President of Business Development

A native of North Alabama, Dave grew up in the Rocket City of Huntsville and graduated from The University of Alabama with a Degree in Microbiology. His first encounter with construction was helping his dad build a storage building in their back yard. His field of Business Development is helped by being involved with many city and community activities that gives him an insight into future projects. Hobbies include outdoor activities, art and traveling.

Project Manager

Kory is one of our newest “young professionals” and brings a new perspective to our company!

Born in Dallas and raised in Atlanta, he majored in business finance while also playing football at Jacksonville State University. Kory recently completed his Master’s degree in Engineering from UAB. Kory started in this industry doing civil work, and Chorba is his first job in commercial work. His hobbies and interests include music and outdoor activities, but he is most proud of being a father.
